los angeles art book fair, may 15-18

siglio last participated in Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair way back in 2019, so we’re very pleased to be back this year.

Find us at table A14 in “the 950 building.” We’ll be featuring the dozen books we’ve published since then, along with an assortment of ephemera (including the poster for the marathon reading of Memory last July), and postcards announcing our two new 2025 titles! As usual, books will be discounted 20-30%.

It’s been a long time—pop by to say “hello”!

Free on Sunday, May 18 and five bucks on Friday and Saturday (16th & 17th). Best to register in advance and have a ticket in hand (even a free one). The line will otherwise be very long!

In celebration of the exhibition (through July 26, 2025) “After Words: Visual and Experimental Poetry in Little Magazines and Small Presses, 1960–2025,” Granary Books is hosting a round table discussion focusing on how visual and avant-garde works are produced and distributed, how they might appear in our teaching or scholarly practices, and what the physical manifestation and presentation of these works can tell us about their creation, political and cultural positioning, and the constellations of poets involved.

With Lisa Pearson (Siglio Press), Charlotte Priddle (Special Collections, New York University), Amelia Grounds (The Bancroft Library at University of Berkeley), Antonio Sergio Bessa (emeritus, The Bronx Museum of the Arts), and Alison Fraser (The Poetry Collection, University at Buffalo). “Hybrids of art and text that don’t respect boundaries but deal in the frisson created when collage cross-pollinates with fiction, poetry speaks through photographs, graphics accesses emotion the memoir can’t, and paintings remember what history forgets.” —Elissa Schappell writing about Siglio for Lithub.
