ordering siglio books & editions

Out of outrage and heartbreak, and in solidarity with those demanding justice for the black lives lost to police brutality and white supremacy, Siglio is donating 25% of its June book and limited edition sales to Black Lives Matter and Campaign Zero, two organizations working to effect real and lasting change to a country infected by racism. There is (and has been) much work to be done. It’s time for white people (like myself—Siglio publisher Lisa Pearson) to listen better and learn more, to not only acknowledge that white people have benefited from a system that degrades the lives of people of color in multiple and systemic ways, but also to actively work to change that system.

General Order Info

Orders are shipping, and your order helps support the short-term viability of the press during this economic crisis as well siglio’s longevity. I thank you immensely for your direct order which will receive the current edition of siglio ephemera for free. It’s a little thank you for your support: every direct order contributes to Siglio’s fiercely independent mission.

Orders are fulfilled by our warehouse in Illinois which has assured me they are following CDC and American Public Health Association protocols, but personally I’m quarantining packages for a few (well, really several) days whether they’re coming from my warehouse or somewhere else.

We offer discounts at various times during the year, mostly to those on the mailing list, or through Twitter and Instagram (@sigliopress).

Given the state of things (and the current constraints at the warehouse),  allow up to 4 business days to process and pack your order in addition to the actual shipping time (which seems to be taking MUCH longer than usual). Do note that USPS Media Mail orders are not insured, but we provide a delivery confirmation number. FedEx and UPS are automatically insured up to $100. Limited editions orders incur a surcharge of $10 to cover the special packing and handling (which I personally do at Siglio HQ) as well as to insure them for their full value, regardless of the shipping method.

Your credit card and personal information is handled with the utmost care. Our shopping cart is encrypted with SSL software (with McAfee and Verisign checked security) to ensure its safe transmission to Authorize.net for processing. We do not share, rent, sell or barter your personal information with anyone. If you prefer to order off-line, just give us a call.

If you have any problems placing your order or questions about ordering, contact me by email — bookorders (at) sigliopress (dot) com or by phone 310-857-6935.

—Lisa Pearson, publisher

International Orders

The shopping cart reflects the lowest possible cost for shipping overseas—it’s a real-time calculation for 1st Class International Mail Parcels (under 4#) and for USPS Priority Mail (over 4#). Please note that neither have any kind of tracking that will help locate or reroute a package.

Do note that insurance is an extra cost (as is real tracking via USPS International Express Mail) and that the recipient is fully responsible for any/all taxes, duties, or fees levied in the recipient’s country. Siglio is not responsible for any shipment seized by customs or not delivered by your local postal affiliate. All sales shipped to international destinations are final.

We do appreciate your jumping through these hoops to get your order from Siglio; however, your local bookstore may be able to get the book for you too as we do have international distribution. Also, Powells.com ships abroad and can offer much more competitive shipping prices than we can.

We want you to be happy with your Siglio books. You may return a book within 30 days for a refund for any reason so long as the book is in mint condition, accompanied by the original packing slip, and sent to our Catksill, New York address below. The warehouse that shipped your order is not able to process refunds for Siglio, so any book returned to the Ware-Pak address in Illinois will not be eligible for a refund.

If your book was damaged by FedEx or UPS, please hold on to the box as evidence of mishandling and contact us immediately so that we can replace it and file a claim. USPS orders are NOT insured, so we cannot replace books that were lost or damaged in transit unless they were not properly packaged. If a book has printer’s errors, we are happy to replace it.

All sales are final for limited editions.
