September 29th, 2017

Siglio publisher Lisa Pearson will be giving a presentation—”On the Cusp of the Seeable and the Sayable: A Short Survey of Siglio Press Artist-Writers” focusing particularly on the works of Robert Seydel—at Illuminations: Poets, Artists and the Book, the 2017 Reva and David Logan Symposium on the Artist’s Book at the Legion of Honor Museum, Saturday, October 7, 1-5 p.m.

The venerable Mary Ann Caws will be giving the keynote “Poetic Connections In and Over Time” in which she’ll examine the history of writers and painters working together across genres. Cuneiform publisher Kyle Schlesinger will discuss the “mimeograph revolution” as well as recent Cuneiform books published with poet, art critic and collaborator Bill Berkson. And two book artists Richard Wagener and Ward Schumaker will discuss their work.

The symposium is free with museum admission and open to the public. The related exhibition Parallel Visions: Poets, Artists and the Book runs through November 28.
