January 4th, 2015

Siglio at the LA Art Book Fair: Table #10 in Room O!

Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the MOCA Geffen Contemporary

Join Siglio at Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair, now in its third year! We’ll have our special 25% off fair discount—and every purchase will get special Siglio book fair ephemera, while it lasts. Oh, and the fair is free and open to the public!

1. Two spring titles debut at the fair: Suite Vénitienne by Sophie Calle and Here Comes Kitty: A Comic Opera by Richard Kraft.  We’ve got a limited number of copies for sale long before they’re available in stores.

2. The irresistible Dorothy Iannone: You Who Read Me With Passion Now Must Forever Be My Friends will be on hand, too, delving deeply into her artist’s books. This book was chosen as the #1 L.A. Art Experience of 2014 by Catherine Wagley in LA Weekly.

3. And there will be a Dorothy Iannone exhibition, curated by Printed Matter, of her artist’s books and multiples at the fair: a perfect complement to the book!

4. Finally, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, in The Classroom, don’t miss “Collage: On the Page and in the Street” as L.A. artist Richard Kraft discusses Here Comes Kitty: A Comic Opera as well as his upcoming large-scale public performance work “One Hundred Walkers, West Hollywood” with Andrew Berardini of The Art Book Review.

If you’ve been to the fair, you know what an astonishing event it is. If you’ve never been, come early in the day—it gets really, really busy because nobody wants to leave!  Hours (free to all!): Friday, January 30, 12 – 7 p.m.; Saturday, January 31, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, February 1, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The opening night is 6 – 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 29 and tickets are required for that!
