LA Art Book Fair (Virtual)

April 2nd, 2020

Detail from planned mini-installation of Bernadette Mayer’s Memory at the LA Art Book Fair

Starting Thursday, April 2, Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair was going to take place at MOCA Geffen downtown through Sunday, April 5. Printed Matter canceled the event earlier in March with great foresight and concern for the well-being of participants and attendees.

So this weekend, go to the Printed Matter LA Art Book Fair page, look for #laabf2020online all over the digital landscape, including @sigliopress on Instagram and Twitter.

As we usually do at bookfairs, we’re offering 25% off trade titles for the weekend. Use code LAABF2020.

We were going to present a mini-installation of Bernadette Mayer’s Memory (see above) and have early advance copies for sale. You can pre-order with the discount above, and it will ship as soon as the books arrive in our warehouse at the end of the month.

Or, support Siglio and become a Siglio Advocate—you’ll get Memory along with our other amazing Spring release The Saddest Thing Is That I Have Had to Use Words: A Madeline Gins Reader, edited by Lucy Ives (who would’ve been on hand in LA to sign books…), as well as our two fall releases with free shipping (and a few other irresistible benefits). This year’s Advocates are Siglio’s lifeline to surviving this crisis and being able to continue to publish in the years ahead.

And lastly, we’re all desperately missing the comradery that fair brings—the love, the passion, the energy that we all invest in this small, beautifully weird corner of the world. I hope you’ll connect with Siglio as well as seek out other publishers and artists using the hashtag to be reminded that there is still a vibrant world of books out there, albeit (hopefully, temporarily) at a a greater distance.
