Presented by the John Cage Trust and the Merce Cunningham Trust
Free and open to the public (a family friendly event)!
In commemoration of the 100th birthday of renowned American choreographer Merce Cunningham, musicians and dancers come together for a celebratory performance of John Cage’s gloriously anarchic work, Musicircus – with a twist. Featuring chance- determined performances by more than 40 musicians and dancers, things are often simultaneous, always unexpected, and, befitting the venue, happen both inside and out.
It is also the first chance to buy the new, expanded paperback edition of John Cage’s Diary: How to Improve the World (You Will Only Make Matters Worse) which will not otherwise be available until the end of summer!
And mark your calendars for September 5 for the open house and book launch at the John Cage Trust. More info here.
